Anthropologic,inside

Connect Anthropologic to your AI client and run cultural analyses with a single question. Same engine as the web app and the API.

Seven analyses. Three free reads.

Every analysis run uses credits when it starts. If the pipeline fails, they come back automatically.

Connect

Anthropologic is a remote MCP server. Any client that can add one over HTTPS can connect.

  1. Get your API Key from your account representative. It starts with sph_.
  2. Open your client's connector settings and add a custom remote MCP server.
  3. Name it Quilt Anthropologic and paste your Remote MCP URL.
  4. If it asks for authentication, choose none. The key in the URL is the credential.
https://api.quilt.ai/anthropologic/mcp/v1?api_key=<secret>
lockTreat the full URL as a secret. Anyone who has it can start runs billed to your account. The /v1 segment is required.
  1. In Claude Desktop, open Settings and select the Connectors tab.
  2. Click Add and choose Add custom connector.
  3. Enter the name and your Remote MCP URL, then click Add.
  4. The Quilt logo appears in the list. Click Connect.

Claude waits and checks progress on its own.

  1. Turn on Developer mode in Settings, Apps, Advanced settings. On Business, Enterprise and Edu, an admin must allow it first.
  2. In Settings, Apps, click Create app.
  3. Add a name and short description. Paste your full URL into MCP Server URL.
  4. Set Authentication to No authentication. Confirm and click Create.
  5. To use it, open the + menu, choose Developer mode and select Quilt Anthropologic.

Web only, not on mobile. ChatGPT may ask you to approve each tool call.

  1. In Copilot Studio, open your agent with generative orchestration turned on.
  2. Tools, Add a tool, New tool, Model Context Protocol.
  3. Server URL, without the key: https://api.quilt.ai/anthropologic/mcp/v1
  4. Set Authentication to API key, choose Query, and use api_key as the parameter name.
  5. Create a new connection, paste your key and select Add to agent.

Copilot can't wait between turns. Ask it to check progress again after a few minutes. To publish to Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot, use Channels.

How a run works

Ask in plain language. Add “use Quilt Anthropologic” so your client uses the connector instead of the open web.

Four steps, about 15 minutes

01Your client asks for a go-ahead and confirms the cost.
02The run starts and you get a run ID right away.
03It checks progress about once a minute. Status only.
04When it completes, the full result arrives with the evidence.

Every run is saved to your account. To pick one up in a later conversation, give your client the run ID and it fetches the result with Get run. Runs also show in the web app.

Tool notes

What to know before you start each one.

Trends and Discourseadd

Both take a cohort, a subject (a category for Trends, a topic for Discourse) and a country as an ISO code such as US, GB or KR. An optional focus and look-back window are accepted.

Trends offers last 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months or 6 months. Discourse offers last 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. Leave it out for roughly the last 30 days.

Digital Segmentationadd

Category and country. You can add a client question the segmentation should answer, such as “which segments are most open to a sugar-free line?”. It always runs the standard tier.

Foresight Simulatoradd

Category only. It is global by design, so there is no market to choose. A run costs 200 credits and usually takes 10 to 15 minutes.

Creative Evaluationadd

The ad's link on YouTube, Instagram or TikTok, the brand, category, market and channel. Optionally the objective, language, target audience and brand values.

If you leave them out, the objective defaults to Brand Equity, the language to English and the target gender to All.

Cultural Codesadd

It calls these space and market, not category and country. A run reads one market. For several, run it once per market.

By default it returns a quick read from live sources. Ask for a full read for a larger body of sources and validation against search demand.

Ask an Anthropologistadd

Two modes, never mixed. To read an insight from a Trends, Discourse or Segmentation run, give the run and the exact name of the trend, theme or segment. To read an observation of your own, name it, describe it in a sentence or two and give the country.
